My SWMBO loves it when I make soda.

I make this one, simple soda in an empty 2-liter plastic bottle to great results.

1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Chinese Five Spice Powder Blend
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Rapid Rise Bread Yeast or Champagne Yeast
2 liter plastic soda bottle, empty and clean

1) Fill a clean 2-liter soda bottle halfway with water. Add all the ingredients.
2) Cap the bottle and Shake to stir and dissolve all the ingredients.
3) Place the bottle in a warm spot and let it sit for at least 24 hours.
4) After the bottle is "hard" put it in the fridge to slow fermentation.

Simple, and very delicious with a little spiced rum!

(Note: There will be trace amounts of alcohol in this one, as well as a "dirty" bottom of the bottle. It doesn't seem to effect the flavor.)
