Hi everyone,

The brothers have requested a vanilla porter for the impending winter months. This will be my first porter batch, so I did a lot of reading in the porter recipe section and took a stab at cobbling together a recipe.

Your thoughts and comments are much appreciated. Thank you in advance! :mug:

Boil Time: 60 min
Batch Size: 5 gallons (fermentor volume)
Boil Size: 3 gallons
OG: 1.054
FG: 1.015
ABV: 5.08%
IBU: 39.67
SRM: 29.26

Fermentables
5 lb Dry Malt Extract - Light
1 lb Dry Malt Extract - Munich

Steeping Grains
0.5 lb American - Caramel / Crystal 60L
0.5 lb American - Chocolate
0.5 lb American - Roasted Barley

Hops
1 oz Nugget 60 min
1 oz Willamette 5 min

US-05 at 66 degrees. Two weeks primary. Rack onto two vanilla beans (chopped, scraped) into secondary for two weeks.
