I recently got a recipe and ingredients for an IIPA that has a vanilla bean + bourbon soaked oak chips for the secondary. Sounded interesting. The recipe says to add the bean and bourbon chips for one day in the secondary. After reading other uses of vanilla and oak it seems like people had it soak for longer. I don't want a lot of these flavors but a little hint would be nice.... I think. Let me know your experience. Cheers!

Take a sample every couple of days, when it is the taste you want, its done, simple as that!
