Hello,
I am new to brewing and new to the forum. I have a batch of cider in my primary fermenter right now that I just put into my keezer last night. It's been going for about 3 weeks now, and it's close enough to being fermented out for me to get ready to keg it. I've done a lot of reading on the forums, but I just wanted to make sure that I am doing this right.
My keezer is currently set at 40 degrees F, +/- 2 degrees. How long should I cold crash it before I add the Potassium Sorbate? Secondly, should I mix up the potassium sorbate with water, and add it to the cold brew? Lastly, do I let the potassium sorbate work in the cold temperature, and how long should I wait before I rack it into my keg for back sweetening?
Thanks in advance for the help!
