I recently brewed a batch of beer that was fine until about 2 months after I brewed it and it then formed a thin white layer over the top, not sure if it's an infection or not, but my question is if I Ditch the beer, can I use the carboy agsin or is it contaminated, also started wondering if ever my yeast flask got infected could I use thst agsin or is it scrap.

I'm hoping a good cleaning with pbw and some sanitizing will do the trick

plastic or glass?

pbw , starsan it. Should be fine either way.

The flask could go in the oven at 250F for an hour. I assume it's glass.

Otherwise water with some bleach will do the trick. It does not take a lot of bleach to make an effective cleaner for this situation.
