Morning all. Just added hops in the middle of a 10-day fermentation.
Stupidly, my thumb touched the underside of the fermenter’s lid. Do I need to sanitise the lid? Worried about exposure to oxygen. I’ve been sanitising bottles this morning so my hands were pretty clean, but....?

I don't think it'd hurt to sanitize anything; but, I also don't think you've ruined anything, either.

I once dropped my phone in a fermenter and had to reach in and pull it out. Beer still tasted fine. While sanitizing things properly is very important, I do feel like it gets a little too much hype.

If you are worried, sanitize it. It won't be off long enough to oxidize the beer.

I wouldn't bother unless your hands were dirty or you were handling something with a lot of bacteria.
