Is it possible to bend those coils to the side of the freezer and it would work fine? is it worth it? I thought I heard of someone doing it before. I wish I could just find the right used fridge/freezer for the Fastferment conicals...

I could get this for about $100, it's nearby so no shipping to worry about.

The fermenter I use is a Fastferment conical. So it's almost 3 feet tall but would be just fine in this freezer. (not room for 2 though but perhaps I could consider 2 buckets if I wanted to do a 10 gal batch).

possible? Yes. Worth the effort? Probably not. Keep trolling craigslist for a frost free freezer, they do not have coil shelves

I did the same thing to make a kegerator. My advice is to take your time and bend them slowly if you do it. The risk is breaking the likes. I bought the freezer for $40 off craigslist, so I wasn't to worried about it though.
