So I was gifted a turkey fryer recently. Doesn't appear to be of very high quality but I can't argue with free. The burner works and the pot is 30 quart. It has a spigot on it but I can't get it to open. It seems to be stuck on the closed position so I was thinking it might still function as a pot. Has anyone ever had this happen, and if so, if they managed to finagle the thing open? Other wise anyone got an idea to plug the spigot hole, just seems like crud would want to get in there. Brand name is Chard it looks like.

Note sure if you can, but I'd try to remove their spigot and replace with a weldless bulkhead and new ball valve.
