Tried my first brew today.

Norfolk strong dark ale Nog. This is the one that had an expiration date of 2012. It is really full of hoppy bitterness. It's been in the bottle and carbonated well. Will the happiness/bitterness mild out over time?

Probably not much. The issue is also going to be the expiration date. Usually, the fresher the ingredients, the better.

But, congrats on your first brew. Now, do it again, fresher ingredients. Your LHBS, if you have one, should have ready-to-go kits that are fresh.
