Toffee ?

I recently found my favourite beer of all time it's from a brewery called inns and gunn and it was a toffee and vanilla flavour ale I want to try and create something similar. My question is how do I get the toffee flavour I can't see any hops that bring a toffee flavour so I assume it comes from the grain any help would be much appreciated.

Crystal 30L or 40L should have a toffee flavor to them.

You can also buy toffee flavorings- cake decorating /bakery supply shops should have it if your LHBS doesn't. Don't use actual toffee in your beer- there's too much fat from butter.
