I am at a crossroads with my desire to purchase a new shiny conical. I mostly do 5 or 10 gallon batches but this summer I will be making 3 different 15 gallon batches for a wedding. The wedding has put me on the fast track to purchase one in the 20ish gallon range, but that's obviously overkill for a 5 gallon batch, but ok for a 10 gallon batch.
Anyway, I've looked at all of the different options out there and I think the brewhemoth is the one I want if I pull the trigger. Before doing it though, I wanted some feedback on the plastic Conicals you can find all over the internet for less than $100. I am wondering about fittings and configurations that others use mostly. I had a hard time finding 1.5 and 2 inch ball valves when I was trying to price them out.
