I am putting together a pump in a toolbox setup for my whirlpool chiller. I have been thinking about somehow putting a thermowell in the tubing that goes from the output of the pump so that i can monitor the temperature as it drops. That way, I could even put a cheap temperature controller on it and have it ring a buzzer when it gets to my pitching temperature. My concern is that if I use a tee with the thermowell in the middle, it might restrict the flow too much. Any ideas?
P.S. I know this is all overkill for a chiller setup but I want to overbuild it for when I step up to a recirculating system in the future.
