I was having a few beers and decided to throw one of the last 5 of my retrun to brewing Irish ales in the freezer to cool it quickly. Fast foward 4 hours when my insomnia kicked in and I'm transfering 5 gallons to secondary (normally don't but the primary was lousy with yeast, I want a clear keg) when I remember the bottle in the freezer.

Wait for it.....

Only two to pick up, the top inch and one other chunk. Very grateful as this happened in my hop freezer.

I stuck one in the freezer tonight as well. I had to get out of bed to retrieve it and stick it in the fridge. I got lucky. Glad it was nearly all contained for you. It looks real cool though.

I did that once with three bottles of pale ale. 2 burst & the third was starting to freeze. Good thing they were contained. Real frozen mess to clean up though. SWMBO was not pleased in the least...
