I read all these posts my cooler leaks.
Well here is the cure........ Now this is for 1/2 INCH only
Go to your local drug store get a pair of these http://www.playtexbaby.com/Bottles/VentAire/Advanced-Standard-Slow-Flow-Nipple.aspx trim to fit. Once you trim it will fit over the 1/2 inch pipe nipple And into the hole in the cooler. LIKE it was designed for this purpose.
That food grade O-ring is impossible to get centered in the hole and pipe nipple.
This Is medical grade silicone and will hold up to very HIGH temps.
