Over the years Tettnang has become my favorite hop, eclipsing Hallertau. I am going to expand my hop yard this year and was planning on getting some Tettnang, but based on some things I read I was wondering if maybe I should go with Spalter Select, which I haven't brewed with in a long time, and then only occassionaly.
If anyone is familiar with both hops, would you please compare and contrast them, especially taste and aroma, etc.? My preference would be to go with crowns from Great Lakes, and I live in Chicago if that helps-John
