I have a 3 tap setup that I have been using for a few years now with the standard black tap handles. I got some new wooden chalk board handles for Xmas that are much taller than the original black handles. These new wooden ones are much taller and when installed sit too close to the door and do not allow the tap to close all the way.

Any recommendations for either extending the taps out a few inches or adjusting the angle of the taps down a bit?

You are in the same boat as me. I have not done this yet, but I am going to add a 1"X3" board to the front of my kezzer.

You can use longer shanks and install a second nut to hold the shank out a bit from the fridge wall. You can dress up the shank with a hollow tube of black plastic or wood or whatever if you like.

I use a hole saw using black walnut 3/4 inch thick. I use the 2.5 inch size which is larger than your stainless steel ring or black plastic ring behind your faucet. Drill out the centre hole the size of your shanks and I use mineral oil and beeswax to finish them after sanding. They will give you the space you need and look classy!
