So I had some extra time today, and had a cream ale kit that was shipped in on Friday from Brewmasters warehouse.



Briess Pilsen Extra Light Liquid Extract 5 lbs, 8 oz
Gold light DME .5 lbs
Briess Flaked Corn 0 lbs, 8 oz
Briess Flaked Rice 0 lbs, 8 oz
Fuggles Pellets .5 oz @ 60 mins
Fuggles Pellets .25 oz @ 30 mins
Fuggles Pellets .25 oz @ 5 mins
SAFALE US-05 American Ale 1 ea





steep corn and rice 30 min at 150* 1gallon water 170 prior to adding grains

rinse grains with 1 gallon 170 degree water

add all the water to boil pot

add 1/2 extract

add hops

.5 60min

.25 30min

.25 5min

at knockout add rest of extract

topp off to 5 gallons with cold water pitch yeast

primary 2weeks at 65

2ndary 1 week 65

prime with 4.5 oz cane





I'll have more pictures once I get further in the process! I also plan on turning this into a Vanilla cream ale with some pure vanilla extract and a cinnamon stick in secondary. Anybody have any idea how much?
