Sugar yeast nutrient starter?

So i dont have dme or lme ive got a few bottles i wanna use for dregs but i wanna drinkthem sooner then i can brew.(working 70 hr weeks) can i make a starter from sugar water and kdap? So i can grow the dregs a dew weeks before adding them?

Pure sugar has the potential to damage the cell walls of yeast. Leave a little beer in each bottle when you pour. Store all the reserved beer and yeast in one capped bottle. Yeast stores well under beer otherwise you wouldn't be able to harvest the yeast.

I wouldn't go that route. If you build the yeast up eating only simple sugars like that they can lose the ability to ferment the more complex sugars found in wort.

You can use rice syrup..available at many grocery stores.

I've done this, but I used sugar in a starter first then chilled it until my dme came in and use that to double the starter, its fine if you do that before you brew
