Hey everyone,

I wanting to brew a brown this weekend. The recipe I am wanting to convert is an American brown ale that uses 6 lbs of dry amber extract. I have marris otter I want to use for base grain. What else should I add with it to get close?

If the american brown ale kit comes with specialty grains you can use those along wit your base grains. Make sure you use about 10 pounds of base grain to substitute 6 pounds of DME.

What's the rest of the recipe? Amber extract usually has C-60 and sometimes munich. I'd take it in context with the rest of the recipe though.
