Hello,

Right now I have 4 batches, each one is a 1 gallon session mead batch with different honeys, same amount of water, 1gr. of Lalvin EC1118 from same pack in each and pitch of fermaid O in each.
They all had same starting gravity of 1.040 and are week in now.
Yet, one of the batches seems stuck, it got to 1.030 after a week, while the others are way more in(1.020-1.015).
There seems to be no activity in one od the batches, no foam, no bubbles on the top, just flat.
Should I leave it more or accept defeat? :)

According to TOSNA you would use 1.5g of Fermaid-O; with the low ABV you would use it all up front and not staggered.
How did you rehydrate the yeast?

If you rehydrated with Go-Ferm, you could probably being the Fermaid-O down to .75g - 1g as you will have extra nutrients in there. The session mead ends up with more nutrients than is typically needed as TOSNA doesn't factor in the nutrients in the Go-Ferm very well. At higher ABV the extra nutrients will get used up but might not in the session one.

Check it in a few more days to see if it has budged on the hydrometer reading. If it has dropped, then you know its going, even if slower than the others.
