So i made a mead batch about 8 to 10 yrs ago. It was my 2nd batch, first batch caught lightning in a bottle, was amazing and surprised me carbonation, this one finished at around 20% abv, unfortunately my notebook from then got ruined. I was hoping by now it would have mellowed a bit but man it still tastes like jet fuel. You think i can save it by adding some honey and water or just have my buddy run it?

Run it and make a honey liqueur from it. Jet fuel is fusels and some will mellow out, but if it's excessive it won't. 20% ABV is super high for a mead anyway, and without really careful treatment of your yeast you will not get away with a clean mead at that ABV.
