I just brewed a golden ale extract kit and added strawberry purée at the end of the boil. When I tasted my sample before pitching, I noticed the strawberry flavor was pretty weak. Thinking there are two ways to fix this...
1. Add extract flavoring during bottling or
2. Rack in secondary on another can of purée.

Given the price I am leaning toward extract but never used it before so I'm worried it won't taste right.

I would add flavoring before bottling. Maybe do tests by adding some to similar beers to yours, and get a feel of how much to add. I've never used extract in beer but know they can vary a lot in other foods depending on their potency, what flavors they're blending with, reacting to, etc.
