My beer is leaving huge "soap-like" bubbles in the bottle during pouring of my final conditioned beer. I switched to starsan from iodophor, and I'm wondering if this might be what's causing it. Taste seems pretty good, not off but not great.

Anyone else had this before? These are giant bubbles, like the ones you'd get when using starsan.

I've had those bubbles from off the shelf bottle conditioned beers, I would assume they are no cause for concern. From playing with Starsan myself, the only possibility of it being left behind is that you didn't dilute the Starsan enough (if mixed correctly no rinse should be required).

They're just bubbles, they mean nothing. It's just the same thing as the head on your beer. Proteins in solution doing what they do...nothing to worry about.

One thing to realize, is that once your beer comes into contact with starsan, it's no longer there. It breaks down into some of the same incredients in coca cola, and is a yeast food that the little buggers love. Don't think that it's still in your beer in the form you think it is, because it isn't. New brewers like to blame starsan for all manner of things, when in reality once the job is done it's gone in the form you think it is.

you should see the bubbles i get in growlers when i polish one off.

relax, don't worry, have a home brew.
