Storing opened liquid yeast

Im sure this has been asked on here a hundred times, but how long can liquid yeast be stored in the fridge once opened? I have some WLP550 and will try to throw something together the first chance I get

Why not just make a starter and then chill it?
Either way, I would not wait too long to use it.

Make a small starter with the yeast. The fermented out starter wort over the yeast will help protect the yeast from infection.
