I have a cider about ready to bottle. I'm short on bottles and need the fermenter so I'm wondering about filling some 2 liter pop bottles, storing, then priming and bottling later. Anyone have thoughts on if this will work, affect cider, etc. I appreciate your help!

I should work BUT more transfert = more oxydation and infection risk.
Also be sure fermentation is over or don't close the bottle.

You can use smaller, 1 liter soda bottles or just carbonate in the 2 liter bottles.
If you're not going to carbonate the cider, a good practice is to add sulfite when racking for storage.
