So I bought an 18" RIMS tube from brewhardware. I have a question on orientation of the tube however. My brew stand is about 20 in tall. I was planning on mounting it on the side of the stand. The tube is over 20 in long with the cap. Can I mount it on an angle? Also, What is the recommended flow direction. I was planning on having the temp probe side as the inlet to the tube and the element side as a outlet. Is there any issue with this? The element will be at the bottom. Thanks in advance

Thats backwards - you want the temp probe downstream (On the outlet side) from the element to keep it from scorching the mash.

I'd try and mount it vertical, but if you can, put a little bit of angle on it so that the element always stays wet and any air in the system goes to the outlet.

Is this to much of a angle?
