step infusion, or not

Brewing a tripel tomorrow, using Weyerman pilsner as base. Do I need to do a protein rest, or can I do single infusion?

I've tried bot a single infusion and a step mash protein rest with that malt and found the protein rest didn't make any difference. I go with single infusion now.
