I have one 7.9gal Speidel tank from Morebeer. Decided all that it needed was some volume markings. So I poured one gallon in at a time and it appears to be more like 8.4 gallons! Also figured out in the process that the lines on the 6.5 gal Ale Pale are too low while the 7.5 gal vintner's best is accurate. Checked several times to make sure I didn't have my homebrew goggles on.
The lines I drew are a little high presumably since I originally marked them while adding my (120F) warm rinse PBW water and the water in the tank currently is room temp.
Too bad they are $60 now- $12 more than when I bought mine I would have bought 2 or 3 if I knew they would go up almost immediately.
