Went to Sixpence Pub on Friday night to have a few pints with my brother. When I arrived he had one waiting for me, apparently Sixpence has a House Ale now. Does anyone know more about this beer? It is fantastic. Here was the conversation I had about the beer with the bartender:
Me: “Sir, is this the new house ale?”
Bartender: “Yup”
Me: “How long have you had it?”
Bartender: “Uhhh, hmmm…pppfffttt, about 3-4 months now.”
Me: “It’s a fantastic beer, is it an English Ale?”
Bartender: “Well, as for the beer, well, it’s brewed in Oregon and they ship it in.”
Me: “oh…ok.”
I was riddled with the disappointment as anyone who has tried a new beer and wants to talk about it only to find that the person you thought would have knowledge about it is not only clueless, but cares nothing for it
So has anyone had this beer? The tidbit of information I did get is that it’s brewed in Oregon. I am on a mission to find a clone recipe. This beer will be on tap if I can.
