Lakewood Brewery in Garland Texas makes an Imperial Milk Stout they call "Sin Mint".

It has a very good finishing taste of chocolate mint. It is also very expensive to buy in the store.

Anyone have any ideas of what, and how much to add (just a good starting point, I realize I would have to experiment) for a chocolate mint finish?

Thanks for any ideas!!!!

Make a chocolate stout that you like, and then when it comes time to package, pour a pint and see how much mint oil or extract works best to your taste for that volume of beer. Scale up, add the oil to the keg or bottling bucket and package.

That way it will be to your personal tastes.

I made a mint stout recipe that I've yet to try, but I thought about adding a "hop" addition of fresh mint spring at flameout and maybe a dry-hop of it.
