I have a recipe for an Imperial IPA that calls for quite a bit of simcoe. I don't have a LHBS where I live in Denmark so I kind of have to make do with what I can order online. Can't find simcoe but for some reason the webshop has citra. Would that be a decent substitute? Is it a good hop for an Imperial IPA? I have never used it before. Thanks in advance

Simcoe and Citra are far apart. Citra has a very noticeable tropical / passion fruit / granadilla aroma (and not much citrus despite what the name suggests). Simcoe imparts a very strong pine / resin aroma.

You might get away with an Amarillo / Chinook combo

Thanks, doesn't sound too like it would be too bad for an imperial IPA. I have read there really is no substitute for simcoe?
