Hi

I've just brewed this Simcoe Amarillo IPA - I wanted the hop schedule to lean a little more towards the Simcoe as i sometimes find Amarillo a little too 'flowery'.

I upped the dry hopping from my previous batch, but am considering adding another 20 or 30% more to the dry hops.

What do you think? This is for 22 litres. Around 6 Gallons. So far i've thrown 3 oz / 85 grams in

I love how well Simcoe and Amarillo play together. So the amounts you have for dry hopping should be fine. Hell, you could double them and I'd be happy with the results. :D

yeah, if it were just for me I'd be throwing 130grams / 5 oz of dry hops in, but it is a competition beer, so i don't want a completely unbalanced hop bomb.

I'm busy drinking a similar beer, which I did with 50 grams dry hops... seriously lacking on hop aroma...

hmm... thinking i will prob go add more in (this is a few beers later :rockin: )

Funny to see we just brewed almost the exact same grain bill minus the wheat malt. I used summit, Columbus, Citra, and galena for bittering. As far as dry hopping, I don't really notice much improvement in intensity of aroma after using ~4oz depending on the variety of hops. Either way, it looks great to me the way it is.
