Is there any reason you couldn't use food grade silicone spray on your keg seals?
I have always heard to use keg lube but I have the silicone on hand.
Thanks!

"keg lube" is silicone grease - which is compatible with Buna-N o-rings. While using a "silicone spray" seems far trickier than grease, unless there's something in the propellant that would be an issue for Buna-N rubber, I'd expect it would work, though I have doubts as to the comparative effectivity, not to mention waste via overspray...

Cheers!

The OP can spray some of the silicone into a small 1-2 oz container (think of an old plastic film canister), and then either drop the O-rings into that or spread it around between 2 fingers.

I have the feeling the spray lubricant (for being a spray) is gonna be really thin, and may bead up instead of staying put.

This is what i have always done.
Granted i started with new corny's... but i also use it on my spike cf5 lid gasket AND on any clamp screw drives (spray the threads to help)... this is my go-to! Lubes easily, no mess, and quick.
$12 a can, but i think it lasts for a good amount.

Be careful using any off the shelf silicone spray.
Here is the sds for one brand.
Lots of stuff in there you don't want to drink.

Yeah, i agree... no home-depot spray is gonna work.
The link i posted above is NSF Certified food grade. Hence the $12 price tag. We could debate is it sanitary or not... i tend to spray the silicon first, then dunk the gasket into star san. Or spray star san onto the gaaket fron my star stan spray bottle.
(I really, really like spraying i guess!!)

Cool, thanks!
I have Loctite Food Grade Silicone Lubricant.
Sounds safe enough to try.
