It's just the lighting. I installed LED lights in my basement a while back and those lights don't have a real "natural" color, at least to my eye.

One I made out of a vintage (steel, pull tab) can. Think I’ll fill it with foam to keep trash out of it but is sturdy enough as is.

I was about to ask if you filled it with anything? The old steel cans don't dent as easy as the New Aluminums

It's not too bad. The two 45 degree els are 3/8", everything above them is 1/4". It feels pretty good for pouring.

My GF made the surf board brew sign hanging up in back.

Very nice! I didn’t know Hobby Lobby knew how to use the $1 button on there price list. Did you wear out the wrenches (still like those a lot)?

That’s how Magic Hat Brewing does it. ALL of my Magic Hat tap handles are like that.

Gotcha! Well it certainly presents well. So is it the kind of magic that can be learned (David Copperfield), or would I need have been born with it (Marie Laveau)? It sees that method would open up a whole plethora of items that could be turned into handles.

Thank you! I machined every piece. The insert I milled and pressed into the wood after paint filling it! This was my first attempt an am excited to make more!

My first attempt at using polymer clay. The core of the handle is a threaded rod, bulked out with tin foil. Covered with polymer clay and my attempt at hop flowers.

I made these on my junky lathe. They're from an old dogwood tree I saved pieces from years ago. I still have to turn 2 more when I get over being lazy which might take a minute. I will finish them in walnut oil and friction polish. I'm debating on what to fill the holes with in the one with worm holes. I'm probably going to use resin with green tint to match the dragon on my keezer build. I like to smoke cigars so this fits my motif and being lazy it was quick and easy.

These are my handles. Son designed the graphics for me and I sent off to a company that made them. Handles are double sided and have the flying Heron on one side and standing Heron on the other. Very happy with how they turned out. I use liquid chalk markers to label what's on tap.
