I recently installed the Anvil diptube in my keggle, with a length of silicone tubing to get it all the way to the bottom alongside the wall. Works great!

I realized I have a small screen designed to fit over the end of a racking cane. I've had it for years and have never used it. It fits very snuggly inside the silicone tubing.

I'm curious if it's a wise idea to put a screen like this in my kettle. It will help keep hops and stray grain chunks out, but I'd be concerned over clogging and killing my ability to drain to my fermenter.

What are folks thoughts on this?

I no longer use any sort of boil kettle filter, I simply whirlpool and transfer. Every system I tried would clog and lose syphon, depending on the solution ranging from occasionally to every damn time.
