setting up a nanobrewery from home

Hi all,

I to am looking to set up a UK-based nanobrewery from home, with a 1bbl system. But having hunted on the internet, I could not seem to find anything on the legalities of doing this, the why's, wherefore's, requirements and the like.

Would anyone be able to point me to something substantive, from which I could take it from there? I'm based in London, UK, in a detached house.

I'd think your first stop would be city hall, to ask about permits, registration, bylaws, etc.?
