Serving temperature of mead

Is there a rule of thumb for the serving temperatures for mead?

Is it like the adage of serving white wines chilled and red wines at room temperature?

I like mine at room temp. But that's just my opinion. There's no rule for it I believe.

I try each mead I make both cold and room temperature, then decide what is best. I enjoy orange blossom traditionals cold while Blackcurrant melomels are better at room temperature for the nose.

Drink it the way it tastes best to you!
