Secondary Berries

Adding Berries to my secondary. 5 gallon wheat beer.

Will these work?

How much for 5 gals?

Looking to heat them up to 170 and hold for 20 mins then refreeze and add to beer.

I read this method breaks down the cell walls to release more flavors.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I usually do about 1 lb. per gallon.

Last time I did a raspberry wheat I used a puree from the LHBS. Also curious best way to add real berries. I have a bunch of blueberries we picked last year that are frozen.
