Hey all

I have been trying to figure out how to save multiple iterations (without saving a under a new name) of the same beer in Beer smith2 without success.

In the "recipe design" tab of a particular beer there is the "version" box under the date field box, where you can choose 1.2 , 1.5 , 2.3 etc. I assume this feature is so that you can change the recipe and keep a historical record as you fine tune a recipe.

Does anyone know how to use this feature?

thanks

I am not seeing versioning work.

I save under different name and use folders....

Like a folder that says MyCurrentBrews (what I am brewing and fermenting), MyPastBrews, MyProspectiveRecipises...

Ohh and maybe Save_AS is also an option to copying and pasting :)

It works for me, but it's not like a revision control system so far as I can tell. It basically just has an extra field. Doesn't have any kind of automated tracking that I can see.

If you really wanted version tracking, you could manually export the recipe and put it in SVN or something like that.
