So, this past ten days I lined up three different beers to brew all using the same strain of yeast. What I did was make a starter using the yeast and while I was brewing put another starter together and leave a little in the bottom when pitching to put the rest into a new starter.

I've got about two weeks until I can brew again and two of the beers I'm doing will use the same yeast.

Can I just take the starter and put it in a Mason jar and seal it up like I do when harvesting from the trub?

Thanks!

That's what I do with my yeast. I make an extra 100 billion cells and toss them in a mason jar until my next brew. Works out really well for me.

yep, in fact it is better than harvesting yeast from a full size batch of beer as the yeast have not been stressed as much.
