Hello there,
I am fermenting an IPA in a sanke keg with a spunding valve. This is my first batch with a spunding valve.
I was told here in the forums to just leave the spear in and spund from the start in primary. I was worried about it clogging but was assured it’ll be fine. Well I went to pull a sample out so that way I can check gravity. It clogged instantly. And it’s at 6-7psi so plenty of pressure to push beer out.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get my beer out and transfer to secondary without exposing it to air? I was trying to do this batch all under pressure to only have oxygen hit it when it hits my pint glass!
Thanks,
Lorne
