I'm looking to build a sanke washer so I can stop taking the damn spears out.

Plans online seem overly complex. Why isn't it this simple?

- Three buckets/containers - Rinse water, hot PBW, and sanitizer.

- Modified D-coupler with two hoses - one going beverage in and one going gas out (although likely drilled out to the same size as bev in).

- March pump attached to the "in" hose.

- Leave the coupler attached and just move the houses through the buckets in order, (rinse, PBW re-circulated, rinse, sanitizer) and then blowing out remaining liquid with c02 at the end?

What am I missing? Is it this easy?

I do something similar. Getting the liquid in is easy. I do this using gravity with a bottling bucket and spigot. I'm not sure how you would do that with a march pump. I use compressed air and a sanitary filter. I know... CO2 would be better, but I don't want to waste the CO2. I do however finish pumping out starsan with CO2.

That's basically how I wash mine but I use a clean water 1/3HP pump. I open them once after obtaining them for a visual inspection and then never open them again.
