I'm looking to do something close to Rogue's American Amber. Here is what I came up with considering what my lhbs has:
5 Gal, 4Gal Boil, 1.052 OG, 53 IBU,
2# Light LME
5# Light LME (Late addition)
0.75# Caramel 120
0.5# CaraAroma
1oz Cascade @ 60min
1oz Cascade @ 15min
1oz Cascade @ Flame out
Nottingham Yeast @ 66F (Going to wash the yeast from a brown ale I'm currently fermenting)
Or I could get creative with the hops and go with something like this:
0.25oz Centennial @ 60
0.25oz Centennial @ 50
0.25oz Centennial @ 40
0.25oz Centennial @ 30
0.25oz Cascade @ 15
0.25oz Cascade @ 10
0.25oz Cascade @ 5
0.25oz Cascade @ Flameout
So, overall what do you think? First Recipe
