Anyone care to give me some feedback on this water profile I'm looking to create & use for a Russian Imperial Stout?
Grains:
17 lbs Maris Otter
1.5lbs Roasted Barley
1 lb Special B
3/4 lbs Chocolate
1/2 lbs Carapils
Ca Mg Na Cl SO HCO Cations Anions
44 3 44 59 41 112 4.3 4.3
Hardness 121
Alkalinity 93
RA 59
SO/Cl Ratio - 0.7
I'm using 100% RO tuned up with Gypsum, Epsom Salt, Baking Soda, & Calcium Chloride to achieve those numbers.
I chose the "Black & Malty" profile as my target on the Bru'n Water Calc
I'll be adding 3ml lactic to 5 gallons of sparge water.
Target PH of 5.4 in mash
This will be my first time using lactic.
Anything stick out here? Thanks in advance for looking at this info.
