Just wondering what boiling rice hulls would do to a batch of beer.

I've read they have no tannins and don't contribute flavors.

The reason I ask is it could help provide a filter bed for pellet hops and break material when using a braid in a boil kettle.

I generally never use them so I don't have any on hand to test out.

I've never boiled them, just used them in the mash. I'm curious as to how well they would stand up to being boiled. They might hold up well, or they might disintegrate. Maybe try boiling a handful for a while and see what happens.
