A few months back I made a wheat beer using wlp300. I wanted to keep some of the yeast after fermentation so I washed it like I've seen from a post on here. I want to brew another wheat using my washed yeast. I got it warmed to room temp and made a starter. My question. How long is this good for after washing? I had it since January, so could it be dead. I have no activity in my starter. When I used the original vial of yeast, it took close to 48 hours before I saw any activity, could this also be the case with my reused starter?

Could be. Did you store it in the fridge? I'm not sure how long it can be stored. A few months in your case might be too long.

If you kept it in the fridge, chances are it's still good. Just give it some time before you give up on it.

I did store it in the fridge, I just wasn't sure how long it could last in cool temps
