Hi! I'm glad to be back! A couple years ago we sold our house in Kentucky and I hit the road in a RV, traveling the country with my wife and 2 kids. I had grand plans of brewing with others in our travels and blogging about it, but the logistics just never worked out. Anyway, we decided to settle back down and bought a house in Michigan.
I just brewed my first batch at the new house last week. I brewed a wee heavy. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, the basement got unusually warm that night, and it fermented a lite warm. I had a relatively minor blowout, and my gravity samples had an odd flavor, probably phenols I'm guessing...
Anyway, just thought I would reintroduce myself, and I look forward to reconnecting with the great people of this forum and meeting some new friends!
