Anyone ever replaced the built-in controller with an Inkbird or similar controller? I have a brew kettle which has a controller but it's not as accurate as I want it to be. It measures temperature from the bottom next to the heat source and also reacts too slow to temperature drops. Adding a pump to my system helped to balance the mash temperatures but I'm still struggling with the somewhat obscure action of the controller.
I should basically bypass the digital controller panel and make it heat when it's just plugged in. It has 500W and 2000W elements with their own switches.
I'm not an expert in electrics but pretty handy with anything if I just have good instructions or otherwise an idea of what the heck I'm doing.
Should I just forget it or perhaps a doable project?
Thanks.
