Red Tail Ale - why do you like it???

I had Red Tail Ale from Mendocino a few weeks ago, had a few left over so I tried one again. I really don't like it. What's all the rave about? Did I get a bad batch?

I've always enjoyed this beer quite a bit.

i like it b/c its beer.

its not the greatest beer, and I don't make a point to get it, but have gotten the mendicino sampler pack a few times

Not my favorite beer but it holds a special place in my heart because it is one of about 4 or so craft beers that you could find in stores when the market was 99% dominated by BMC.

It was my gateway beer. I used to be able to get a 12pack for 9.99 in Santa Barbara in 2002. It was better than any other beer I had had before. Then I moved to San Diego.
