Hi there, just wondering if anybody could tell me what the sugar content of Westvleteren 12 or St Bernadus abt is after it has been fully fermented.

I was under the impression that all of the sugars are fermented out of these beers but a friend of mine seems to think that they are of a high sugar content post fermentations.

Most Belgian styles are finishing below 1.012, but some of the real big beers like huge quads and BDSAs are in the 1.012-1.018 range. Many may taste sweet, but usually are finishing dry with low FGs.
